I read a lot of O'Reilly books on computing over the years, many excellent books, and then one day I came across yours. And then my life changed. I always knew the connection between computers and money but never dreamed they would the money right into the computer itself, I was astounded by this incredible invention. I was always intrigued by double entry book-keeping and its history since my accountant explained it to me and I wrote a C++ program to implement it. But Bitcoin was just shear genius, a masterpiece of design and software engineering. Thanks to your great book I grasped the essential concepts of Bitcoin within a few weeks and never looked back.
